Now is the time!

Black men and women are serving more time then whites in Seattle Washington.
Author LE ROI BRASHEARS shares his belief.

Why are Black people treated as inferior, and whites can do the same crime and received less punishment. The justice system is not justice for all, only for the privilege. We need you to help make a difference. If you think people of color are being treated unfairly, now is the time. As, Dr. Martin Luther King said, "Now is the time to lift our nation from the quicksands of racial injustice..." If you are pissed off like I am and want to make a change join us and let's make a difference together!

Oct22nd to Stop Police Brutality

The Seattle chapter of the NAACP is calling for a community action meeting to discuss and take steps to address the current police climate in Seattle .

The Seattle Police Department’s recent wrongful arrests of Rajnii Eddins and Michael Brooks are NOT isolated incidents. Neither are incidents of SPD violence, such as the attack on Anjonet Hill, resulting in a dislocated jaw. They represent the continuing targeting of communities of color by the SPD and the lack of accountability for police misconduct and violence. If you had any encounter with Officer Neubert, or any SPD Officer, this meeting is for you. We as a community need to come together and stop the violence.
